Detailed Bio
A Career Connecting Research, Education, and Practice
For more than two decades, I have worked across academia, industry, and international collaborations exploring how human understanding can inform strategy, innovation, and decision-making.
As a professor and researcher, my work focuses on consumer behavior, customer engagement, decision-making processes, and the evolving relationship between individuals, organizations, and society.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with universities, students, executives, and organizations in different countries, helping translate research into actionable insights and practical solutions. My work has included teaching, executive education, consulting projects, international partnerships, and scholarly research.
Whether examining consumer experiences, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, or designing educational initiatives, I am interested in one central question:
How can a deeper understanding of people lead to better decisions and better outcomes?
This question continues to guide my teaching, research, writing, and professional collaborations.
Why I Do What I Do
Throughout my career, I have become increasingly convinced that many of the challenges we face—whether in organizations, communities, or society—begin with a failure to understand one another.
We often rush to solve problems before fully understanding the people involved. We prioritize efficiency before empathy, certainty before curiosity, and answers before questions.
My work is driven by a simple belief:
Better understanding leads to better decisions.
This conviction shapes how I teach, how I conduct research, and how I engage with organizations and communities.
I am interested in the spaces where disciplines intersect, where dialogue creates learning, and where thoughtful questions open new possibilities. I believe that education can build bridges, that research can inform action, and that meaningful progress often begins by listening more carefully.
In a world increasingly shaped by technology, complexity, and uncertainty, understanding people remains one of our most valuable capabilities.
That is the work that continues to inspire me.
The Philosophy
"Understanding people is not the end goal of research; it is the starting point for making better decisions, building stronger relationships, and creating meaningful impact."
